HOMELESSNESS ISN'T JUST A HUMAN CONDITION
If everyone spayed and neutered their animals, we wouldn’t have these staggering numbers. There wouldn’t be an explosion of puppies and kittens every Spring. Roughly 1.5 million healthy companion animals wouldn’t be put to death in shelters annually.
Spay and neuter is important for many reasons:

It reduces unruly, undesirable and aggressive behavior.

80% of dogs that are hit by vehicles each year are unaltered males.
People understand this and want to do the responsible thing for their pets. Experience has shown us that the reason people don’t spay and neuter their pets is that they can’t afford to…not because they don’t want to. We feel that if someone cares enough to make the phone call asking for help with their animal, we have a moral obligation to help if we can.
