Karyn started rescuing cats in her early twenties which set her on the path to what was to be her calling in life. In 2003 she started AniMeals Animal Food Bank, and later added the Adoption Center. She credits the School of Hard Knocks, unshakeable convictions and solid tenacity for her extraordinary success in a challenging career. She makes her home with her husband and 7 rescued cats.

Susan Andrews Merseal, Vice President

Susan has been employed by CLC Restaurants for sixteen years and is currently their Operations/Recruitment Coordinator.  Prior to that, she had a hair and nail salon in Missoula for many years.

She loves to hike with her ladies hiking group and spend time on the rivers and lakes.  She and her husband like to travel and go to musical events as often as possible. Susan is an avid gardener, baker and enjoys many kinds of food preservation.  She has two daughters, one step daughter and four grandchildren.  She has volunteered for AniMeals in different capacities and has two kitties that are AniMeals  adoptee

Kelly is the VP of Accounting and Treasury, after serving as the Internal Auditor, for Clearwater Credit Union. She earned her degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting at the University of Montana. She joined the Credit Union in 2000. Since then, she has been a teller, worked in card services, accounting, as an internal auditor, and currently as the VP of Accounting and Treasury. Kelly grew up in Montana and enjoys all that it has to offer, such as hiking and fishing in summer and cross-country skiing in the winter. She has one dog that goes on many outdoor adventures.

Kiley earned her B.S. in Wildlife Biology at Colorado State University. She is PMP-certified and is an IT systems implementations project manager. She has expertise in cloud-based system implementations and software development management. Her skills include budgeting, scheduling, and setting milestones for multiple concurrent projects, while maintaining proactive communication with all stakeholders. Kiley has been an animal advocate for over 20 years, volunteering with Mindy's Memory Primate Sanctuary, Fort Collins Cat Rescue & Spay/Neuter Clinic, Animal House Rescue & Grooming and The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado. Kiley’s hobbies include traveling, hiking, camping, SUP, cooking and interacting with her cats.

Kelly Jo Jackson has spent the last 17 years living and working in multiple regions of the U.S., England, and Mexico as a Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA). She was raised in the Potomac and Bitterroot Valley of Montana, going to the University of Montana for her undergraduate degree and University of Bristol in England for her graduate degree. Outside of her career, she enjoys playing the mandolin and singing with her band, Sunset Fires, and playing with other friends, family, and musicians.  She has a profound love of Montana and all things Missoula including hiking, skiing and kayaking.  Kelly and her husband love to see live music around town. They also have two rescue pets, a cat named Herman and a dog named Millie who keep life interesting!

Sandy retired  after a 41 year career working for American Express as a Technologies Program Manager. She has been responsible for planning and managing multimillion dollar programs, establishing goals, and tracking progress. Sandy has been involved in AniMeals since the beginning as a donor, foster and adopter. She is an animal lover! Over the years she has volunteered at Habitat for Humanity, several food banks, and youth center renovations. Sandy has 3 grown children, 2 cats, 3 dogs and 5 grandchildren.

William completed his undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Montana, earning a Bachelor’s of Science, as well as a Master’s of Science degree. William studied law and graduated from the University of Montana School of Law, and is a proud member of the Montana State Bar Association, the Western Montana Bar Association, and the Montana Trial Lawyers Association. William serves on the Board of several Missoula area organizations, including AniMeals, The Humane Society of Western MT Legislative Committee, Footloose Montana, and The Nine Mile Wildlife Workgroup. He opened Rideg Law Office in 2011 to serve the needs of Missoulians.

Ray has been employed with Campus Dining for almost 17 years now and has over 30 years of supervisory and management experience in the food and beverage industry.

Ray is currently a member of the Campus Dining Sustainability committee as well as several other planning committees on campus. He has attended numerous HR workshops and has extensive training in team building, communication and conflict management.

Ray is a third generation Montanan and enjoys all that the Missoula area has to offer.

Favorite activities include spending time on the rivers and lakes, hiking and skiing. He and his wife like to travel and go to concerts as often as possible. Ray is a great cook and enjoys sharing a meal with family and friends.

Ray has one daughter who is attending her Sophomore year at the University of Montana and two cats that are AniMeals adoptees.

Crystal lives in Missoula with her husband Cash and their cat Bugs.  Growing up she had pet rabbits, cats, and dogs.  She’s always loved animals and in high school volunteered at the Humane Society of Western Montana. She’s a 5th generation Montanan, Griz fan, and belongs to the local Bitter Root chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and First Presbyterian Church.  In her free time, she loves spending time with friends, family, visiting the Bison Range, and traveling.  She earned her Business Administration degree from National American University and is an Executive Assistant and Loss Control Specialist for CLC Restaurants, Inc., where she has worked for 11 years.

Pam is a native Missoulian. She lives less than 2 blocks from her childhood home and has been employed as a Real Estate Servicer for Clearwater Credit Union for 3 years. The branch that she works at used to house a bank where she opened her first savings account back in grade school. She would often ride her bike to the bank to do her banking, as it was just down the street from her home. Prior to Clearwater, she worked at a collection agency for 26 years, and before that she worked alongside her family at their local business. Her Missoula roots run deep, and she is excited to be part of AniMeals.

She spends her free time enjoying her cabin in the Rock Creek Area, hiking, skiing, boating on Flathead Lake and going to various musical events, with her husband of 25 years. She is ‘mom’ to two cute and crazy dogs, that make her laugh every day, and is currently considering becoming a ‘cat mom’ .
